A steady hand for the families of Spencer County in their most difficult moments.
The role of County Coroner demands more than a title. It demands experience under pressure, a deep respect for the community, strong collaberation with county departments, and the integrity to do this work with care every single time.
Fifteen years of caring for patients and their families, through emergencies, recoveries, and the final moments of life. This work has taught me how to lead with both competence and compassion.
Almost a decade has been spent responding to emergencies in our community, working alongside law enforcement, EMS, and fire crews at the scenes where the coroner's work begins.
A master's degree in Health Administration has educated me to know how to run a department and answer to the public.
Served 6 years honorably in the U.S. Air Force, where discipline, accountability, and doing the job right the first time are not optional. That standard has stayed with me ever since.
Critical thinking has had a major role in all of my experiences. It's crucial to choose a candidate that recognizes it's importance in the field.
I have walked countless families through the worst moments of their lives. Every notification, every conversation, every report deserves dignity and honesty — not bureaucratic distance.
Real experience matters. Here's the path that prepared me for this office.
15 years of bedside nursing, the majority of it spent in critical care units and emergency departments across multiple hospitals. Direct experience with trauma, resuscitation, end-of-life care, and the families navigating all of it.
Nearly a decade of volunteer first response in Spencer County, working alongside EMS, law enforcement, and fire personnel on scenes that often intersect directly with the coroner's responsibilities.
Graduate training in healthcare leadership, operations, and public accountability — the management skills required to run a coroner's office well.
Foundational clinical and academic training that supports the work I do every day at the bedside and in the field.
Six years of honorable service. The values instilled then — duty, integrity, and accountability to those depending on you — are the same values I bring to public service today.
Trust isn't claimed. It's earned and spoken by the people who have worked alongside you.
Allen brings a level of seriousness and care to public service that this office deserves. He treats every responsibility like it matters — because it does.
I've worked with Allen on emergency calls for years. There is nobody steadier under pressure or more committed to doing this right.
The families of Spencer County will be in good hands. Allen listens, communicates, and never loses sight of the human side of this work.
